We are a small family company that prides itself on taking exceptional care of people and their homes.

Responsibilities include keeping the truck cleaned and stocked. Being able to learn the names and purposes of all tools, parts, fittings, and equipment used in the residential service plumbing industry. Assisting the plumber in job prep, job completion, cleanup and restocking, and whatever else is necessary to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Plumbing Helpers

Pay starts at $18/hour and goes up with experience and competency. Uniforms are provided.

Monday- Friday 8-5 (with a few exceptions)

Plumbing Apprenticeship

If you demonstrate yourself to be capable, you may apply to enter the apprenticeship program which includes, higher pay, benefits, a free Associates Degree via the NC Apprenticeship program. Company vehicle, company phone, health benefits, 401k matching and a very decent shot at a fulfilling and lucrative career.

Do I need plumbing expereince to apply?

No plumbing experience is required! We're looking for people who want to learn the trade and are willing to work hard. Pathmaker Plumbing believes in hiring for character and teaching the skills. If you're curious, reliable, and genuinely want to help homeowners with their plumbing problems, we want to talk to you. Humility and a willingness to learn are more important than prior experience.

What kind of training and supervision will I receive?

John provides hands-on training and supervision for as long as you need it. He believes in teaching people the right way from the start and won't leave you to figure things out on your own until you're ready. You'll learn proper techniques, safety procedures, and how to interact professionally with customers. John gives you space to learn from mistakes in a supportive environment, while always ensuring customer care and safety standards.

What tools and equipment do I need to provide?

Nothing! Pathmaker Plumbing provides all the tools, equipment, and training you'll need. You just need to show up ready to learn and work hard.

What are the physical demands of this job?

This work involves going into customers' homes daily, working in various weather conditions (hot attics, cold crawl spaces), and dealing with all aspects of residential plumbing including sewer lines. You'll be crawling, lifting, and working in tight spaces. It's honest work that requires physical stamina, but if you're willing to work hard and learn, we'll teach you everything you need to know to do the job safely and effectively.
